Confidence is not a “goal” for me at this point in my life. I’ve discovered that it is a natural side effect of empowerment. Empowerment of course is “power within”.
I say within, versus with out – “out there” or outside of myself. I changed my tagline recently because what my blog is really about is empowerment, taking back your sense of self from the external world. I am also in the process of changing my website.
Instead of “Building Confidence from the inside out”, I know to be true that when you discover more about who you really are and live from this space, confidence is indeed a natural outcome.
The world is constantly changing and is completely relative. This is one reason why it is so disempowering to allow others, media included, to tell you what you are worth, how you should look and what you should want. When I was driven by seeking love, happiness and peace outside of myself, I was never satisfied.
I was “looking for love in all the wrong places”.
Well, I’ve discovered that anytime you look for happiness apart from inner joy and meaning, you are looking for love FROM the wrong source. People change, styles change, the standard for beauty and intelligence change. Change is the one thing that you can count on in this life. Change is about the evolutionary progress in the raising of our consciousness.
“Progress is impossible without change. Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
If we keep hanging on to the same ideas, we will keep getting the same results. This will actually tear down our confidence. When we hold on to what we know to be true for dear life, we cannot flow with the mystery of life, and life is indeed mysterious. As Woody Allen said:
“If you want to make God laugh tell God your plans”
We can co-create our experiences consciously by holding the vision, but we still have to trust and learn to let go of resisting change and how our visions unfold and “what is”. We will have to if we are ever to walk through life with confidence, grace and ease.
We are conditioned to whine, complain and reject ourselves, others and situations that we are in. When we learn to connect to our spirit, to love and accept all that we are and stop judging based on what the external world tells you to want, like or is important, then we can truly earn “Self Confidence”.
We are also freed to make better choices and create new situations instead of staying stuck in a holding pattern. What you resist persists! Your True Self is the power and wisdom to achieve whatever heart-felt dream you may be holding.
When you learn how to take your power back, coming from this place from within you, which is true empowerment, then you will have all the self-esteem and confidence you need to create the life you can really love. Are the changes in our world shaking your confidence these days?

The key to a successful and fulfilled life is to stay focused on positive thoughts and feelings.
